Origin Doesnt Have Option To Download Game

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.

Everytime I try to purchase on The Sims 3 Store, it will automatically link me to Singapore's Origin Store. The problem is, that country Origin store doesn't have PC/Mac physical options. Only direct download is available for all games and I would like the to have the DVD's as a collection.

  1. I’m ready to use Repair Game. Select My Game Library in Origin. Right-click on the game tile. Select Repair Game. The file check can take up to an hour to complete depending on your computer's hardware. Older games may not have the Repair Game option. If you’re still not able to install your game, contact us for more troubleshooting.
  2. Alternatively, you could try to move the game folders to a temporary location for the time being, if you want to be really, really safe. From what I've heard you wouldn't even need to move them back, as Origin can run them also from other folders (e.g. When you have downloaded an EA game via Steam).
  3. IF THIS DOESN'T WORK AND YOU HAVE WINDOWS 8. Try to change the location mentioned in the video, THEN press download, it will not download anything but will actually just 're-install' the game.

This issue occurs when the games which you are trying to download and install is not compatible with the new operating system.

If the installation does not start, try to install the game in compatible with the Windows 10 Technical preview.

a. Right click the set up file and select Properties then tap or click the Compatibility tab.
b. Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode box.
c. Tap or click the drop down box and select a previous Operating System, then tap or click OK

If you are able to successfully download and install the games on the computer, run the game in compatibility mode.
